This course provides an introduction to RFA and instruction on programming the RFA C++ Market Data subscriber interface, combining lecture with practical exercises.
<b>At the end of the course, participants will be able to:</b>
- Install and setup the RFA developer kit and compile more applications using Visual Studio.
- Understand and Setup the RFA Configuration for SSL, SASS, and RSSL.
- Write C++ program code to:
* Build the in-memory configuration database
* Acquire a Session connection and process events for connection and available services
* Subscribe and process Data Dictionary(s)
* Subscribe, receive, and process Market Data
* Allow a custom client logger to receive and process log messages
<b>What the course does not cover:</b>
- Market Data Publishing Interfaces
- Open Message Model (OMM) Interfaces - see training course RFA C++ and Reuters Domain Models
<b>Prerequisites:</b>
- Ability to program in C++
- Some familiarity with Reuters Market Data Systems concepts.
Awareness of basic Object Orientated Design concepts would be beneficial.
