Course Description:

This course will introduce participants to the Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform components that are responsible for the distribution of data on the client site through the use of instructor led learning and hands-on exercises.The participant will learn how to stop and start the system and use the monitor tool to perform basic troubleshooting. This course does not cover installation.

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Monitor all core TREP components
- Start and stop TREP processes
- Identify faulty components and take appropriate action
- Identify the flow of market data throughTREP
- Describe the purpose and interaction of components that make a TREP
- Explain the communication protocols used by each of the TREP components
- Use the TREP monitoring and maintenance tools to check the system and detect faults

Pre-requisites
Before attending this course participants

- Should be able to demonstrate a familiarity with Solaris or Linux Operating System
- Have an understanding of networking concepts
